Experience slick gameplay that devours less space on your hard drive. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee catapults you into a world full of life and wonder. After Abe overhears his boss's plans to turn Abe and his Mudokon pals into a tasty treat, Abe makes one final heroic effort to rescue Molluck and his failed meat-packing empire. After he escapes RuptureFarms, Abe has a vision of a mysterious Big Face. The Big Face shows Abe the importance of not only rescuing his friend Mudokons, it reveals to him how he must tread the warpath to protect all the creatures in Oddworld from the destructive Magog Cartel.

Once you have passed through the fiery Temple trials, you must wander across a wasteland with your friend Elum. However, you will not do this without magical powers as you receive the gift of the Shrykull. Upon returning to RuptureFarms, you will learn how you destroyed one of the foulest slaughterhouses and rescued your buddies. Placed in one of the cookie-cutter genres of the gaming world, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee does everything but the conventional. Other games might promise you a rich variety of enemies with a wide selection of enemy AI. This game delivers it with Paramites, Sligs, Scabs and Slogs. Every species will have their own personality, and you must understand the personality if you want to adapt and survive in Oddworld. For example, you can control Sligs with Abe's psychic abilities. Meanwhile, you can command and order Slogs around with a possessed Slig. The gameplay can be a lot of fun.

Game developers have called the creature AI process A.L.I.V.E., and it makes you feel like you have interacted with an actual world. Unfortunately, this is one of the older games, and for some people, the graphics and gameplay may not have aged well. Your main goal in the game will be to stay alive. For gamers who value intelligence and critical thinking, you can solve well-constructed and challenging puzzles. The whole thing balances the puzzle solving with action to pure perfection.

This game proves curiosity can save the cat, and your mission throughout the game will be to escape RuptureFarms. Abe has limited vocabulary, however, and he must convince other Mudokons to follow his plans to safety. They will race through the factory, flip switches, leap over obstacles and try to slip past the attention of heavily armed guards. The game plugs you into some enlivening 2D side-scrolling action that leads to you to a heyday.
